June 30, 2011 – Did not meet reserve at $2,025

Original Post: This is the way I’d go into VW territory.  Of course, with a 914 I guess I’ve already crossed that bridge.  But I mean full badge on the bonnet and pistons in the boot.  My VW would have to have the obligatory wood roof rack.  Check.  Some pail old 1970’s paint color.  Check… oooh and baby blue reminds me of my old FJ40.  And finally, it’s got to have a clean interior.  Checkarama.

On eBay in Bremerton, Washington with a reserved starting bid of $2,000.

“1970 Volkswagen : Type III squareback new interior, new motor, rebuilt transaxle, flood lights, roof rack and a very nice car. all it needs is some tlc and paint. my son fixed in up he always used good mecantics to do the work. he has about $7000 dollars into it this is a very fast car the motor was a turn key with a dual carb convertion.  He would like it to go to a good home.
