Thanks to reader Henry for forwarding this car and stirring my “coulda, woulda, shoulda” thinking. It is the most desirable year for me, the ‘86.5. The last year for the bubble butt before the S4 redesign yet sports the S4 suspension and Brembo brake package. But alas, I’m thinking about another car…
At the $5K starting price on eBay, it’s priced proper out of Schenectady, NY.

Body looks nice. Interior is worn out. At 120k I’m going to bet that alot of things are just waiting to go wrong, if they haven’t already. Some things that tell me to run away from this car are that it is kid owned (going away to college), the air freshner, the blue thing stuck on the dash, and the steering wheel cover. This could be someone’s nightmare waiting to happen.
