Time to go to Florida. Two nights ago it snowed and sleeted enough to have a snow day, no school, in Dexter, Michigan. Everybody that lives within 20 miles say what what? Yup a snow day. We here in the greater Ann Arbor area live in whatch you call “the sticks.” Cows and corn plus a lot of dirt roads. The dirt roads are not salted, nor do we have a lot of plow trucks to maintain the roads. Plowing usually comes a day later than paved roads.
So when it snows the school buses have a really hard time navigating what essentially is a two-track at six in the morning. If you need to pass another car, you find yourself going outside the matted snow into ruts and drifts from wind-blown acres of empty farm fields. It can get a might hairy in what our school district calls “deteriorating road conditions.” It is during these times that one looks for a unique and well kept motorhome to get out of dodge.
Find it for sale on Detroit’s Craigslist.
