“Offered is a very nice 1995 Porsche 993 6 speed, 20K miles, Guards red with black interior, 6 speed. For sale due to (seller’s) illness. Pics speak for themselves, this car has been garaged since new and is in exceptional condition.. There is a tiny bit of curb rash on one wheel, and a scrape on the rear bumper that has been touched up.

Asking $32K or reasonable offer.”

This came up today on Pelican Parts Forum.  I’m a fan of this ’95s over the ’96s or later because they had less electronic crap to deal with.  I remember talking to a service tech about these.  He said you can’t even change the alternator in the ’96 without resetting the computer to tell it there’s a new alternator.  Makes the back yard mechanic obsolete pretty quick unless you have the money to buy the star trek interface.
For me, the ’95 993 is the last great air cooled 911 even though my money is on an SC or ’84-’89 Carrera because of the direct lineage to the first 911 before the 964 suspension redesign along with all the other design changes.
