Volvo Cars are famous for their safety, but less known is that Volvo Cars have also been successful in motorsport. Volvo Cars made their debut with their first competition car in 1928, just one year after the foundation of the company. Since entering motorsport, Volvo Cars has won three European and two world rally titles as well as a European title on the race track and a European title in rally-cross. Leading up to this year’s season with the C30, Volvo engineers have taken advantage of the new DrivE technology from standard cars, in order to reduce wind resistance and thereby increase speed. Available footage includes a narrated and un-narrated package with historical footage from race tracks and various rallies as well footage showing the latest Volvo C30 racing car. [Source: Volvo]
