“Matching Number bike with 12700 miles. Vin 325761. This is a nice original bike. Has original paint but it is not great only good for a rider. A repaint would make a big difference in the bike. Bought this form a friend and it use to be rider to and from work. I got it and never did anything but put new mufflers on it. Hooked it up to a battery and engine turns over and Electric Start works fine. Shifts through the gears. Gas was old so I did not try and start it. Would say carbs just need to be cleaned. Seat pan has some repair and may want to purchase a new seat depends on if a rider or show bike. Front fender has a couple dings form everyday use. Rims look nice but rear has a bad spot see pictures. Primary Cover has a couple gouges may sand and polish out.”
1975 Norton Commando

August 25, 2011 – This sold for $5,900.
August 23, 2011 – Norton was founded in 1898 and became insolvent in 1975. This was one of two models, the last produced before their reincarnation in the 1980s with new owners. In its John Player Special color combination with electric start, new for that year, it’s still got lots of sex dripping off of it for such a late model Norton.
On eBay in Attica, Michigan still under a reserve at $4,950 bidding.
