The Noble Showdown

A Noble tribute to reader Roy who single handedly imported, how many Roy all of them? into the US through his Boston showroom.
I’m not entirely sure of the difference between this 2005 Noble listed on eBay as the M12 GTO-3R.
And the below one listed as the 2006 Noble M400.  Looks like cosmetic changes with the same power plant.
The black wheel one is offered for $52,000 with 3X the mileage at 18K miles while the top car has 5,500 miles and is looking for $60,000.

“Quick specs from the M400 are:
~445hp ~480 foot pounds on regular gas.
2380 pounds weight.
dual turbo Ford Duratec 3l V6, forged internals for more power.
Great air conditioning, blows ice cold
Integrated alarm and immobilizer
Hinged front and rear clams that are easily removed. One of the most awesome things about this car! All GRP composite body work
Red paint and 3m film protection – Dark gun metal wheels.  Best combination.
Full leather and alcantara interior *(black)
Great tires
Custom intercooler. Larger capacity cooling.
Heat shield wrapping around IC box..
Upgraded fuel pump.
6 speed Getrag tranny with Quaife torque sensing limited slip

The Noble M400 features a mid-mounted transverse engine design. The power plant began life as a 2,968 cc DOHC Ford Duratec V6 with four valves per cylinder, as used in the Ford Mondeo ST220. With this engine as a base, Noble fits high-lift camshafts, revised fuel injection, and two turbochargers. For durability, Noble has also added forged pistons, an oil cooler, a larger baffled oil sump, and extra cooling ducts. This engine has a max power of 425 bhp (317 kW) at 6,500 rpm, with a torque figure of 390 ft·lbf (530 N·m) at 5,000 rpm.[6] This power and a light weight allow the M400 to achieve a power to weight ratio of just over 400 bhp/ton, the figure for which it was named, a 0 – 60 mph (97 km/h) of 3.2 seconds and a 1/4-mile time of 11.4 @ 119.8 mph (192.8 km/h).[7] Top speed is 187 mph (301 km/h).

This car is basically stock. A larger intercooler is all that was added to the performance. We did address the two major issues with these cars. The lights and stereo. We’ve added HID 6k to the high & low beams. You can actually see the road now. OTS Stereo based in Tampa built the ultimate sound system.
