Old race cars are hard to put a value on. But consider a solid 1957 car in gorgeous blue race livery with history racing in Europe and the US. Then add in Porsche 356 Super 90 engine and 356B wheels. Number 11. Love it.

Porsche Powered 1957 Karmann Ghia Ice Racer – $17500 (Tallmadge)

For sale on Cleveland’s Craigslist.

“The early “low light” VW Karmann Ghia has become very collectible. This example is pretty special because it was modified in period and ice raced in both Europe and the United States. It has not been raced in a few decades but it is complete as it came off the ice, including the vintage driver’s helmet. One of the most interesting aspects of this car is that it was powered by a very rare and desirable Porsche 356 Super 90 engine. The front brakes and all four wheels are also from a Porsche 356B. The car is currently not running and driving but recommissioning should be straightforward. The car has a clear Ohio title. Feel free to ask any questions or arrange for a personal inspection. I would prefer to sell outright but trades for very special Japanese sports cars would be considered. Thank you for your interest!”
