A few weeks ago we left Groosh’s Garage and headed for the workshop where I was stripping down my 911 speedometer to fix the odometer.  It’s back in, looking fresh and working great!  Except for the jumping needle from a bad cable.  The tach on the other hand is rock solid, the needle doesn’t shutter.  I love the contrast of old green dial in the middle of the white on black gauge cluster.  Porsche clearly identified the tach as the most important dial on the dash by placing it front and center while making it the biggest.  I think the green dial 912 tach accentuates this positioning as it reminds me of my old ’66 912.
