$35m For Most Expensive Car Ever

I’m not much on current events in this blog.   There are way too many folks that cover the automotive market much better than I ever could.  I’m simply here to amuse you.  That’s why I stick to the collectibles I might afford and in particular the Porsche market which is near and dear to my heart.  But holy moly get me a cannoli how can I not talk about this?
“Bloomberg reports that the apple-green 1962 Ferrari 250 GTO built for Stirling Moss has sold for $35m—a world record price, eclipsing the previous $30m to $34m reportedly paid for a 1936 Bugatti Type 57SC Atlantic in 2010.
American collector Craig McCaw, of Seattle, WA, purchased the car in a private transaction from Dutch-born businessman Eric Heerema. McCaw made his fortune when he sold his company, McCaw Cellular, to AT&T for $11.5 billion in 1993.

Heerema purchased the car a decade ago for about $8.5m from Japanese collector Yoshiho Matsuda.”
