Smoke ’em if you buy it.  Paul from the AutoKennel scored another fine find.  Seems like a bargain at $27,990 for all that power.  Check out more details on the next page.

“Well, this owner had a different perspective.  He enjoyed the process of making this vette into a supercar that would rival most racecars while maintaining the poise of a comfortable daily driver.  He carefully researched the best way to build the perfect Z06.  Every mechanical component was either enhanced or completely replaced.  He was relentless in his pursuit of perfection.  Looking through the 2-inch thick stack of receipts it was like a reading Chevrolet’s skunk works R&D handbook.  Over $80,000 was invested in the evolution of the mechanical components on this car.

A&A Corvette in Oxnard, California performed the majority of the work.  They are regarded as one of the leading shops for supercharging C5 and C6 Vettes.  Here is a list of the enhancements performed:

LS2 402 Stroker Motor
Vortech T-Trim Supercharger
Fast Intake
LS2 90mm Throttle body
ETP 240 Heads
228/232 116LSA .581/.588 Cam
LGM Long Tube Headers
8 Rib Pulley Setup
Evans Water pump
Mocal Oil Cooler and Spal 5.2 Fan
ACT Twin Disc Clutch
Dewitts Radiator
Methanol Injection System
External Fuel Pump and Regulator
RPM MN6 Level 5 Transmission
B&B Route 66 Exhaust
Remote Fan with Switch
Custom Fiske 3-Piece Forged Aluminum Wheels (9.5 x 17 and 10.5 x 18)
Hardwired for V-1 Radar Detector
2004 Corvette Z06 Shocks

The dyno results showed a max horsepower of 749 to the rear wheels and 722 lb feet of torque.  Recently, the owner installed a new (less aggressive cam) to ensure it passes the strict California smog test (which it does).  Horsepower dropped by about 20.

In the owner’s typical subtle way, he wanted to keep the exterior as benign as possible. There are just a few subtle cues differentiating it from stock.  However, he wanted to make a statement with the interior.  He invested over $20,000 on a completely custom interior.  All the leather surfaces were replaced with a two-toned design that is very tastefully done.  He even specified the silver color stitching he wanted used.

As you can imagine, the condition of this Z06 is excellent.  The car was never taken to the drag strip or track…EVER!  It was simply a hobby that got out of control.  The body and paint look spectacular.  There are almost no signs of wear.  The custom interior is in equally pristine condition.  The tires are Michelin Pilot Cups with about 50% life remaining.   This Corvette Z06 is ready to be enjoyed and can be driven anywhere.

This Z06 comes complete with the original window sticker, two sets of keys, all the build records, clean background check, custom floor mats, owner’s manuals, and custom car cover.”
