1992 Lexus 300SC – Toyota Supra Twin Turbo

| 0

This car is one of the reasons I founded Motor Car Market magazine.   The Lexus 300SC came with a little known straight six and manual transmission and I wanted to make sure I never forgot that detail.  Naturally the tuner community took notice and performed things like Supra Twin Turbo engine swaps or simply hyped out the Lexus engine a bit.  The Lexus engine from my recollection is not the same block as the famed Supra straight six so most SCs still have their parts intact.

This one has a Supra engine and looks well done.  It would be a screamer sleeper with a claimed 400+ horsepower.   Yet, I’m always leery of someone who only owned the car for several months, did all the engine swap work and then decided to sell the car.  But he claims a need for a SUV in the Utah snow as the reason.

On eBay in Orem, Utah for BIN of $9,500 or $5,000 to start the reserved bidding.

“I have owned this car for several months in which time I have done the following:

Full Toyota Supra Twin Turbo Swap  (2JZGTE)
Custom Harness (EVERYTHING WORKS!!!)
Front Mount Intercooler
AEM Wideband and Tru-Boost
Greddy B.C.C.
New Lights and needles for Instrument Cluster From LEXTECH.COM
New Windshield
Supra Shocks
New Fuel Pump with 12 volt mod.
New Staggered 19″ Rims and with Tires
Diamond Audio Front Speakers
Rockford Fosgate Amplifier
New Battery.
New Exhaust

New Rear main Seal
New Mobile One Oil and Filter
New Clutch and Flywheel
Polished Turbo Piping and Intake Manifold

The previous owner had done the following:

Extensive Wire Tuck in the engine bay
SC400 Front Bumper
Rear Spare Tire delete
Located Battery to Trunk
Replaced all suspension bushings
Supra Seats (driver side electronics work)
Spare tire delete.

This Lexus is a blast to drive.  Pulls strong and hard.  I am selling because I need a vehicle to drive in the snow here in Utah.  The car came from Arizona so there is no rust on this vehicle.  I am open to offers and I reserve the right to end auction early as I have it listed locally.  I will ship on buyers expense.  Title is free and clear.  Paint does have some minor dings.  There is some chipping on the front inner fender from the fenders being rolled.  However, for a 20 year old vehicle I still get complemented on how clean the vehicle looks.”
