1988 Porsche 944 Turbo

My friend Roy and I bought this car to race together. After only a few short months we realized that his 6’4″ frame and my 5’10” body was going to make it difficult to adjust fixed racing seats at the track. Coupled with the fact that he lives in southern Ohio and me in Michigan. We could never quite agree on which track to race. It was either a hike for me or for him to get there.

Consequently, I spent seven hours alone putting the receipts in a book like a do for all my cars. Then with the car on jacks stands in my garage, I details, polished and spit shined every square inch of the car. I polished the engine, the exhaust, the transaxle, the brake ducts, you name it. We sold it for a tidy profit the following spring.

Overview:

• Purpose built track car that is still street legal with bolted in roll bar
• Engine built by Lindsey Racing for durability, running stock turbo so as not to over boost engine and create premature failure (see details below)
• All records back to day one, 1988
• Original window sticker
• Original welcome letter from dealer
• Original dealership sales brochure and owner’s manual
• Florida car until 110,xxx miles
• Currently 122,891 miles
• 1st owner invested a documented $75,659.83 not including MSRP of $40,408
• 2nd owner invested a documented $21,524.89
• Original paint except front driver fender replaced from cosmetic only bump on track.  Repainted front bumper/spoiler at that time.
• Two owners/drivers since new.  3rd owner bought as a potential partnership track car that never materialized.  Since then car has only been driven to and from storage.
• Original seats and exhaust not with car

All documented work below within the last 5,000 miles or 4-5 years.  Car saw very little use after 2011 when 2nd owner health problems prompted sale.
