Up for sale is this beautiful classic 1988 Jaguar XJS V12. This car has been garage kept all of its life, and driven occasionally. There are no known problems with the car. It runs and idles great. Everywhere this car is taken to it turns heads left and right. The tires are Pirelli 600’s and are fairly new. The carpet and seats have no stains, tears or marks. Here’s my problem. You want me to “bid with confidence” on a “must sell” item from a guy with 4 feedbacks out of McAllen, Texas.
Car only has 55K miles on it which is quite excellent but call me a cynic, a pessimist… do you really want me to believe the dealer tag on the rear view mirror is screaming come get your stellar ride here? The mere fact he lists it with no history, maintenance records and a “no reserve” starting bid at $4,200 leads me to believe it was a cheap pick up from a retired couple, not that there’s anything wrong with that.
