“True 1988 SALEEN mustang, number 329 mint. rare red on red. called saleen offices and they varified it’s a true saleen mustang. tasteful performance upgrades, 53,000 original miles, tilt steering, a/c , heat, power windows , power door locks , griffin cooling system, electric fan, hurst short throw shifter, edelbrock upper and lower intake manifold, gt 40 heads, air intake, aluminum drive shaft, shift light, momo suede steering wheel , dynomax exhaust , true racecraft suspension , msd, ford racing shorty headers, gold with polished lip american racing wheels from saleen. all proper saleen tags on the car , no rust, handles very nice and needless to say very fast, royal purple oil changes, car runs very cool. never raced, never tracked, really is a beautiful car. more pics upon request. trades may be considered. thank you for your time.”

As you may recall we had #002 at Automobile Magazine in 1989.  People thought I was driving Dennis Rodman’s car.  Yeah, like me and Rodman finished trying on wedding dresses and then he let me borrow his ride.  

I was mildly excited about seeing this one but red just doesn’t work for me.   Reading the description set me back a few more paces.  It’s a “true” Saleen the owner states.  He had it verified apparently because it has so many upgrades it was hard to tell if the Saleen tags were real or not. 

Low miles, I bet it hauls.

On eBay in Passaic, New Jersey, in hopefully a secure garage, for $10,000 reserved starting bid.
