1985 Pierce-Arrow Firetruck

This is the Ferrari Testarossa, the Lamborghini Countach, the Porsche 911SC of my impressionable youth, a 1985 model firetruck.  It lived smack dab in the “I’m really paying attention time” of cars for me.  I always took and still take pause to watch one go down the street.  They are marvelous.

This one looks like it needs a good polishing but with only 97,384 miles on the diesel, it seems young to have been retired.  Market correct price?  I have no idea.  Worth more than a parade ride?  Probably not.  I still would love to have it sitting in the corner of the barn… that I still need to build.

On Hemmings in Winchendon, Massachusetts for $16,500.
