I realize original is better and I’m already talking myself out of this one. But it’s hard to resist a well done interior and exterior with a modern 5.0 HO engine powering the push and pull. The Ford V8 block has been used in so many hot rods and customs, I just expect it to work smoothly in any engine swap. Whereas if this guy jammed a Subaru flat four under the bonnet, I’d have my doubts. Why is that?

“1973 Ford 4X4 short bed truck with 5.0 HO fuel injected engine . It has a truck intake for more torque. rebuilt engine with a ford racing roller cam. 5 speed w/ overdrive transmission, 4:11 gears , body and paint excellent, spray in bed liner, new wheels and tires, interior in great shape, frame off restoration done in 2008 and since then it has been driven maybe 1000 miles. Restoraton 98% complete. I love the truck but its time to build a hot rod feel free to ask any questions”

Love the TRUCK how big is the fuel injection and what brand did you choose.Back in 08 did the restoration include any work to the engine or transmission. GREAT LOOKING TRUCK. FirstOnRaceDay
