1972 Porsche 914-6 Conversion

Stumbled across this today.  Some of the trim items bug me like the dash, gauges and pedals.  But the ten footer shot looks original until you get up on the carbon fiber hood and trunk.  Still a six conversion costs money and this one is reasonably priced and “totally rust free” from Huntington Beach.

“Selling my 1972 914-6 conversion.   This car was purchased from Huntington Beach, Ca about ten years ago.  Car is a totally rust free car.  First thing I did was weld in a new battery tray (loose).  Car is black, originally green with carbon fiber hood and truck lid.  Car came with the 911 wheels and a 1983 SC complete front was added.  Side shift trans and 2.2 liter 1971 911 engine was added during the conversion. Total mesh engine cover was added along with new bumper tops (original). Window chrome was eliminated with all rubber seal.  One of the many up grades 914 owners add.

Interior has recovered seats and door panels in carbon fiber vinyl to match the exterior and the carbon fiber on the dash.  Interior also has a couple of Dr. Evil inspired improvements with the stitched dash top and BMW mirror conversion.  Gauges have been rebuilt and have brush silver trim rings.  Also console with Rennshift shifter for a close shift pattern.  Some of the parts have been powder coated, gauge bezel, air cleaner covers and tow hooks and match the color accents(gold) in the CocoMates. Steering wheel was just recently recovered (leather) and looks great.  I could go on and on, but if you are interested, give me a call.  I would be more then happy to talk about my pride and joy.”
