1969 Citroen DS21 Pallas Citromatic

The early Citroen market heated up in the last few years and some of the convertibles are easily six figure cars.  I think I remember one going for a quarter million.  The DS21 here is a wonderfully classic car that would make a talked about addition to any collection.  95% complete after a restoration only 180 miles ago but hydraulics are in need according to my trusted source, Ed, from Wheeler Dealers.  He says pump cycle time should be 15 seconds not a “solid 5-7 seconds at idle” as this owner claims.

On eBay for a Buy it Now of $16,500 but the winning bid was only $9,600 on September 5, 2011.

“This 1969 Citroen is at last nearly complete, but I must pass it to a new owner now.  I’ve owned it for nearly 10 years, and during that time have essentially renewed the car inside and out, as you will read below.  The bottom line on this car is that it is about 95% through its restoration.  The powertrain has been completely rebuilt or refreshed, and the interior is completely new except for the dash. Read on for the details, especially if you are well-versed in Citroen jargon.  The car is ready to be a daily driver, and doesn’t need much to make it a show car as well.  This DS has only 180 miles since being reasembled and finished up.  The actual registered mileage is about 122,000.  The California title is clean and clear, and the car is currently plated.”
