Nice storage find in California with no rust and black plates.  One repaint. Running Knecht air filters which are an after market yet nice period touch.  Solex carbs still there as is the rain train but late model coil.  Has the original rubber floor mats, missing one little black knob from the driver window crank which they don’t make any more and are expensive when you do find them.  Think $30 bucks, not $5.  Five gauge dash instead of three, looks like original stereo.  No tool kit pictured, so assume it’s missing ($800).   Wrong exterior mirror.  14″ Fuch rims, can’t see the spare to determine if it has matching set of five or a steel wheel which it most likely came with.
On The Samba for $16,500 which is fair but advertiser “vwsamba” probably paid half that to old guy who stored it since 1992.

“This is an all original one owner California car that has been in dry storage since 1992. It was recently uncovered and returned to service. It received a major service(fuel and oil flushed, new lines, carbs cleaned, valves adjusted, new oil cooler and seals, generator and battery, shifter bushings. It now runs and drives beautifully.

THE BODY is in excellent condition with no rust or accident damage. It had had one cosmetic exterior only repaint in the original bahama yellow to a very high standard. The doors close with the like new ping. The only thing of note is a small dent in the lower edge of the engine lid which happened during storage.

THE ENGINE is all original with 111,000 mies on it. It had a clutch put in just before going into storage, 5 speed trans shifts fine

THE INTERIOR is fair with a good dash and gauges, the seats have a few small splits as does the headliner.

OG 14 inch Fuchs wheels.”
