Sports Car Market just did a write up on the Allard, the man and founder.  My take away was that he was ahead of his time putting big American engines into British roadsters, successfully raced them and influenced Shelby in the making of the Cobra.
On eBay out of Tuxedo Park, New York for an unreserved starting bid of $19,000 which is what it closed at on August 31.

1948 Allard.   –  NEEDS RESTORATION

Story we have is car was stripped down to metal 30 years ago and never was finished

Car came from out West poss Arizona area from what we hear.

I am not  sure exactly what model this is but if you found this Auction you might know what it is.

I am told that is the     L  Model

Has original body, trans, and engine.

Needs a total restoration but seems like most parts are there and its not a Rust bucket. All panels are solid

floors seem to need the most help

No Soft top but frame for soft top looks to .be in place.

Front Seats seem to be in good shape

The Wood Dash is all there but wood is a mess.  pictures tell the story. Steering wheel looks to be origanal.

Original  V8 Engine was last started and ran 5 years ago.

Folding wind screen is in great shape looks if it may have been cleaned and or restored as frame is in great shape.

Have both mirrors inside and outside,  see pic

Have side fly flap windows, see pic

Original wheels on car – with caps   + spare wheel.

My friend recently acquired this rare Allard in a car Swap, and also if interested has the shop and capability to Restore this Allard.

We have a very reasonable price on this Allard so email me if you want to come see it.

We do not have an actual title in had yet but do have a bill of sale and may get Title with extra parts soon.”
